Telemetry plots: plot, overlay and navigate
Show recorded and calculated channels in plots, overlay related signals, and read values at the cursor.
Where to find it
- + (Add panel) → Telemetry plots → + in the panel toolbar (Add plot)
Steps
- 1
Add plots
Click + in the panel toolbar to open Add plot, search and tick channels, then click Create plot. With one channel you can enter a Plot name; several channels get one plot each. A panel holds up to 16 plots.
- 2
Overlay signals
To show several channels in one plot, click the edit button on its tab (Edit plot) or the + at the end of its legend (Add a channel to this plot), tick up to 12 channels and click Save plot.
- 3
Place cursors
Click a plot to place the cursor. Shift-click sets a second cursor, and Shift-drag measures a range between two cursors.
- 4
Zoom and pan
Drag to pan, use ⌘/Ctrl + scroll or pinch to zoom at the pointer, swipe sideways to pan, and double-click to fit the current corner or the full range. The toolbar also has Pan earlier, Zoom in (+), Zoom out (-), Pan later and Full range.
- 5
Tell laps apart
Open Plot appearance (palette icon) and set Color to Automatic, Channel or Lap. Automatic and Lap give each lap its own color and separate a plot's channels by line pattern; Channel colors by channel and draws laps with different patterns.
- 6
Tidy up
Drag plot tabs to reorder them, click a tab to jump to its plot, and close a plot with ×; Undo deletion brings it back. Click a channel name in the legend to hide or show it.
Good to know
Calculated channels
Recorded, corrected and saved calculated channels share the same picker. Lattiro calculations also offers Lap time delta, which needs a reference and a comparison lap on the Position axis and must be alone in its plot.
Filters and corrections from the legend
Right-click a channel name to open Channel filter, or use Correct channel beside it. See Corrections: units, calibration and time offset.
Keyboard
With the plot focused: + and − zoom, Delete (⌫ on a Mac) removes the current plot, ←/→ move the cursor 0.1 s and Shift+←/→ 1 s, and Home/End jump to the ends of the range.
Scroll wheel
Plain vertical scrolling moves through the plots. Settings → Telemetry appearance → Plot scroll wheel behavior can make it zoom the horizontal axis instead; line width, grid intensity and plot heights are on the same page.
Marks
Marks show saved conditions, events and formula values inside a plot or in their own row below it. See Marks on maps and plots.
