Track map and 3D elevation
Show the GPS trace of the selected laps, color it by lap, value or time delta, and view the recorded height in 3D.
Where to find it
- + (Add panel) → Track map
- Map settings at the bottom left (View, Color, Marks)
Steps
- 1
Add the map
Add a Track map. It always follows the global analysis range. The lap legend at the bottom left shows each lap's color; click a swatch to change it.
- 2
Move around
Scroll to zoom, drag to pan, right-drag to rotate and click to move the cursor. The compass resets north, and Fit the track to the viewport fills the panel. Click a corner label to select that corner, and click again to clear it.
- 3
Color the trace
Map settings → Color → Trace coloring: Lap colors, Value gradient or Lap time delta. Lap time delta shows the comparison lap's cumulative time against the reference lap, from Ahead · Negative to Behind · Positive.
- 4
Use a value gradient
Choose Value gradient and search a Color channel such as GPS Speed or RPM, or a saved formula. Pick Blue → Red, Purple → Yellow or Custom; Reverse color scale flips it. Color scale range is Automatic, or Manual with Minimum, Maximum and Apply. Clear coloring returns to lap colors.
- 5
Change the background
The toolbar switches between Trace, Imagery (needs a MapTiler key or an offline map pack), Vector (when a vector map pack is installed) and 3D.
- 6
View the height in 3D
Click 3D. The height channel (m or ft) is detected automatically; Map settings → View sets Height channel, Vertical scale (1–20×) and Closed-loop view or Recorded geometry. Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom and click the trace to move the cursor.
Good to know
Height details
With three or more complete valid laps in one recording, the height profiles are fused by position; Height details shows the fused height span and lap disagreement. Readouts always keep the recorded height in metres. This is recorded height, not a terrain survey.
View tab
Map settings → View has zoom − and +, Fit to window, Overlay recorded GNSS for spotting GPS jumps, and GPS source.
Marks on the map
Map settings → Marks lists conditions, events and formulas for this map; tick one to show it on the trace. Navigation → Marks manages every mark.
Linked with plots
Settings → Telemetry appearance has Focus the map when selecting a corner (on by default) and Link plot and map zoom.
Keyboard
With the map focused: + and − zoom, Home or 0 resets the view, [ and ] rotate by 15°, N faces north and the arrow keys pan.
Map services
Online imagery needs your own MapTiler key. Offline map packs (.pmtiles) are imported under Settings → Map services.
