Steps

  1. Add Live instruments

Add the Live instruments panel. Engine RPM, Gear and speed, Throttle input and Vehicle lean appear first; + Add instrument adds Front/rear wheel speeds, Electronic throttle tracking, Front/rear suspension, Engine temperatures, System voltage, Front brake pressure or Measured rear wheel slip.

  2. Choose channels

Each instrument uses the role from Channel management by default; pick another channel on the instrument if needed. When Suggested channels appears, review the proposals and click Accept all to use them.

  3. Set the template and ranges

Click HUD settings (sliders icon) to open Settings → HUD. Choose the Instrument template, Motorcycle racing or Car racing; under Instruments and inputs, reorder or hide instruments, set Minimum, Maximum and Decimal places, and click Apply display settings.

  4. Play the recording

Click Play in the context bar or press Space. The cursor moves through telemetry plots, the track map, live instruments and other panels; to jump, click a point in a telemetry plot.

  5. Change speed and step

Playback settings (showing the speed, such as 1× ▾) has Back 0.1 seconds, Forward 0.1 seconds, Playback speed from 0.1× to 4×, and Loop.

Good to know

  • Data source

The top left of the panel shows its source: the entire recording, a selected lap or the reference lap. Telemetry data is stale appears while values are out of date.

  • Appearance

Under Appearance, Instrument density, Value text size, Show scale bars and Smooth scale bars during playback apply to all HUDs on this device. Ranges change the display only, not the recorded values.

  • When Play is grey

Preparing playback, or Playback is unavailable for the current range, explains why the buttons are disabled.

  • Space and arrow keys

Space plays or pauses unless a button, field or menu has focus. With a telemetry plot focused, ←/→ step 0.1 s and Shift+←/→ 1 s; stepping pauses playback first.

  • Video

There is no synchronized video yet.
