Track calibration and the Lattiro track library

Set the start/finish line, sectors, corners and apexes, or apply a standard track from the Lattiro track library, so plots, maps and tables share the same regions.

Where to find it

  • Navigation → Track (⌘/Ctrl+3) → Lattiro track library
  • Identify standard track
  • Start calibration
Track calibration: start/finish and sector lines
Track calibration: start/finish and sector lines

Steps

  1. Identify the track

Open Track and click Identify standard track. Compare each matching Layout with the recording's trace and start/finish, then click Confirm and apply. Laps are recalculated; existing sectors, corners and apexes are kept.

  2. Or calibrate by hand

Click Start calibration (Edit calibration once the track exists). On Current sectors, click Place start/finish line (Reset start/finish line once one exists), then Add sector line, and click the trace where each line belongs. Use the direction toggle (Direction: clockwise or counterclockwise) to match the running direction.

  3. Add corners

On Corners, click Auto-detect and pick a Corner detection sensitivity: Major corners, Standard or Include gentle corners. Review the suggestions, then Apply, Append or Replace corners. Add manually places a corner from its entry and exit.

  4. Refine a corner

Select a corner to drag its Entry and Exit lines, set Entry gate width and Exit gate width (2–60 m) and click Add apex. More edits can split the corner, Merge with next corner or Remove reference apex.

  5. Save

Click Save as new revision. If other recordings use this track, choose This recording only or Update the track. Laps are recalculated, and the S, T and ST regions appear under Region.

  6. Browse the Lattiro track library

Click Lattiro track library to browse circuits by continent and country, or search by name, layout or city. Pick Layout 1, Layout 2… to see the outline, length, address, time zone and start/finish position. Browsing never changes the recording.

Good to know

  • Standard tracks and your own regions

A standard start/finish line works together with your own sectors, corners and apexes. Choose another layout previews and applies a different matching layout; the one in use is marked In use.

  • Rename

Rename beside the track name changes it for every recording of this track in the workspace. Press Enter to save or Esc to cancel; calibration and laps stay as they are.

  • Straights

With at least two corners in a known order, Lattiro adds straights ST1, ST2… between neighboring corners, named like T1 → T2.

  • Corner numbers

Auto-detected corners are numbered T1… in running order; a split corner becomes T3a and T3b.

  • Revisions

Every save is a new revision. If the track has a newer revision than this recording uses, a banner offers to switch to it.

  • This recording only

For a track you created, This recording only saves a copy of the track (name · Copy) for this recording. Comparing laps across recordings needs the same track and layout.
