Vehicle setups and rider profiles
Record each session's vehicle setup, keep a library of riders, and assign riders to the whole recording or to laps.
Where to find it
- Navigation → Vehicle (⌘/Ctrl+2)
- Rider information
- Record info → Rider
Steps
- 1
Enter the setup
In Vehicle setup, choose the Current vehicle or New vehicle and give a Setup name. Pick a category (Chassis and geometry, Engine, Transmission, Suspension, Tires, Brakes, Aerodynamics, Notes, Custom or Other), click Add parameter, search, click Done adding and enter values such as tyre pressures, preload or damping clicks.
- 2
Reuse and save
Reuse and references can Apply selected setup, or take a Model reference with Fill empty fields only. Click Save and apply to this record. Compare setups shows saved setups side by side, with Show differences only.
- 3
Create rider profiles
Open Rider information and click + (New rider). Fill in Basic details (Name is required; Number, Team, Class), Identity color, Body and equipment (Height, and Rider mass With equipment, Body only or Unspecified), Custom details (up to 20) and Notes, then click Add rider.
- 4
Assign the whole recording
In Record info → Rider, choose a rider under Whole recording. Manage riders opens the rider library.
- 5
Split by lap or at a stop
Under Assign by lap, click laps (Shift-click for a range) and choose Assign to…. Rider changes suggested from stops lists stops of at least 20 s below about 5 km/h; Change rider here… switches riders from the middle of that stop. Click Save or press ⌘/Ctrl+S.
- 6
Adjust the timeline
The timeline shows each rider's color. Drag a rider change; it snaps to lap starts and ends and to stop midpoints, and ←/→ move it by 1 s (Shift: 10 s).
Good to know
Profiles are frozen at assignment
Assigning a rider stores the profile values of that moment. Later profile edits do not change recordings already assigned.
Changeover laps
A lap that crosses a rider change, or is only partly assigned, is a Changeover lap and is left out of riders' best laps and statistics.
Riders in the analysis
Lap tables show each rider's color and name beside the lap number, and right-clicking a lap number opens Record info → Rider for that lap. With two or more riders, the lap list offers Filter by rider and chips read L5 · name.
Laps needed
Without laps, only the whole recording can be assigned. An AiM XRK recording whose logger marked its own laps lists them under Assign by lap while the track is not calibrated.
Custom parameters
Items that are not in the catalog, such as measured tyre temperatures, go under Custom parameter with a Name, Category, Type and Unit.
Riders cannot be deleted
Rider profiles can be edited but not deleted in the interface.
