Batch analysis and combined recordings
Run the same statistics across many recordings, or merge and join recordings into a new one.
Where to find it
- Analysis: navigation File → Batch report…
- Start center → Merge / join
Steps
- 1
Set up a recipe
In Analysis, choose File → Batch report…. Under Recipe pick a saved recipe or New recipe and name it. In Report contents, Minimum value, Maximum, Mean and RMS are on by default; add Valid sample count, Valid duration s or Event count. Distribution details is on by default, with Bins from 8 to 64.
- 2
Add recordings
Use Add recording to add up to 64 recordings; the current one is already in the list.
- 3
Bind each recording
On each card choose the Channel, a Condition (All data by default), the Scope (Entire session / selected laps, or a corner) and up to 128 laps, plus GPS when several sources exist. Click Confirm bindings; the card then shows Bound ·.
- 4
Run and export
Click Run analysis; Stop cancels. Results have one row per recording, or one per lap when laps are selected. Export CSV, JSON, Print / PDF or Distribution CSV at the bottom; Save keeps the recipe in the workspace.
- 5
Combine recordings
In Start center, click Merge / join. Enter a New record name (Combined record by default) and choose the Method: Merge: separate channels from each source, or Concatenate: join matching layouts in sequence.
- 6
Check the plan and create
Tick 2–8 sources, set each source's Time offset (seconds) for a merge or Preceding gap (seconds) for a concatenation, and order them with Move up and Move down. Preview plan shows channels, time span, overlap and gaps; then click Create new record and Open new record.
Good to know
No merging needed for reports
Each recording is bound separately under one recipe, so files do not have to be merged first. Exports include provenance columns such as recording, channel, laps, revisions, GPS source and vehicle setup.
Merge
Merge aligns the sources with time offsets, which may be negative, and keeps same-named channels separate by source.
Concatenate
Concatenate joins the sources in list order, with an optional preceding gap, and matches channels by unique original name and compatible unit.
Sources stay
The source recordings stay unchanged. Other interpretations of a recording can also be used as sources.
Where it works
Batch report is available in Analysis only, and Merge / join needs an open workspace. A corner scope needs a GPS source.
